Abstract

The destination in the colorful village of Ketupat, which is located in Samarinda Seberang District, is a new community-based tourist destination. Most of the residents make ketupat for sale and even more unique in each front of the houses, many ketupat are finished neatly hanging. They do not need to sell it to the market but the buyers who come directly to this village. Various main and supporting facilities coloring the existence of this village in the hope that the improvement and development of facilities can be realized. The methods used to interview with the management of the tour-aware group (POKDARWIS) as well as the people making ketupat, besides that the writer also distributes questionnaires to 100 visitors randomly. So that the perception obtained truly represents the thoughts of the visitor. The results of this research show that main access and photo areas are the main facilities that must be improved and developed, in addition to other supporting facilities. The need for a place to learn to make processes coconut leaves for visitors of the references as part of educational tourism, as well as the layout of typical culinary design locations of processed ketupatĀ  to make tourists come visit and last longer and can spend more money
