The rapid development of digital technology has had a significant impact on the behavior patterns and learning processes of children, especially those at the elementary school (SD) and junior high school (SMP) levels. On the other hand, low digital literacy skills can result in negative impacts such as exposure to inappropriate content, digital addiction, and a lack of ability to think critically about the information received. This research aims to evaluate the digital literacy level of elementary and middle school age children and design an educational approach to improve this ability. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach through observation, interviews with teachers and parents, as well as mentoring activities based on digital literacy modules. The research results show that most students have technical skills in using devices, but lack the aspects of digital ethics, personal data security and information analysis. Digital literacy training programs based on educational games and group discussions have proven effective in increasing students' digital literacy awareness and skills. In conclusion, digital literacy education needs to be provided from an early age with an approach that is appropriate to the child's age and world.
